Im using some manicure strips / guards , you can substitute it for tape . Once you get use to the design you can definitely freehand this design . The Manicure strips make them really easy and fool proof.

Apply two coats of your base shade .Im using The ONE Long Wear Nail Polish – Ballerina Rose as the main base colour . Let this dry completely then move on to the next step .

After you have waited for your base color to dry completely then take your manicure guards and apply them near to your cuticle forming a half moon . You can apply this as close to the cuticle , it depends on your personal choice .
Then simply fill in the part towards your cuticle with the second shade , in my case is The ONE Long Wear Nail Polish – London Red  . Let it dry completely then remove the guard .Then your done.
